The most popular author of crime stories in Poland. Her books are published in 17 countries and have sold over three milion copies in her country alone. The Rights to foreign editions have been acquired by such renowned publishing house as Hodder & Stoughton and Random House. She debuted in 2007 („The Case of Nina Frank”), introducing the character of an investigative profiler to Polish crime literature. The series with Hubert Meyer continues to this day. The author has published a number of bestselling novels, including: the series „Four Elements of Sasza Załuska” (the third volume „Lanterns” has been made into a TV movie by TVN and known as „The Element of Szasza”), the series with the detective Jakub Sobieski and crime novels inspired by true events: the trilogy „Faith, Hope, Love” and the stand alone novel „Blood in to the sand”. Bonda has also written crime documentaries: „Polish murderers” (its adaptation, „Murderers”, is available on Netflix), „Imperfect crime” and „The hidden motive” co-written with an investigative psychologist – Bogdan Lach. Before embarking on her writing career, she was a reporter and covered court trials, which left its mark on her work. Her trademark is in-depth research.
